We have just added SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) support to the GNYR Web site.
This is partly for the benefit of the upcoming Web Store, but also because it’s quite important to have as much privacy protection and security in place as possible.
This SSL certificate is a particularly strong one, and would not be possible without The Greater New York Regional Service Office, which is a registered 501(c)(3) entity (corporation) that is directly accountable to the Greater New York Region. They exist to Serve the Region in capacities that require a level of organization beyond the normal loose collaboration that describes much of NA Service.
The Ninth Tradition specifies that such Service Boards may be formed with specific missions, and that they be directly Responsible to those they Serve (the Groups of the Greater New York Region).
